Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution

The Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for high-quality dispute resolution training in the Northwest.
Classes are offered annually in basic civil and basic family mediation and also offers two specialty courses which vary each year.

Target Audience

Any individuals interested in dispute resolution; the Institute generally attracts people with a wide variety of backgrounds.

Course Length

The basic mediation courses are 40 hours (1 week). Specialty courses may be 40 hours or 20 hours.


May 16-20, 2005. The Institute holds classes every year in May.

In 2008, the cost was $925 for 40-hour courses. The fees include all materials, breakfast and lunch, and Certificate of Completion, but does not include lodging.
