Purpose

The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to provide financial assistance supporting activities that promote the preparation of written water management/conservation plans, demonstrate new or previously unknown water management technologies and practices, implement activities identified in written water management plans and promote improved understanding of good water use practices and principles.

Funding Interests

Emphases for the Water Conservation Field Service Program will be directed toward proposals that can be
completed within 24 months and that encourage water conservation, efficiency and education. The project must also have a defined relationship to one, or more, specific Reclamation water projects.

Requirements & Limitations

Eligible applicants include those entities that have a defined relationship with one or more Reclamation Water
Projects in the following areas in the Mid-Pacific Region: South Central California Area Office, Fresno, California; Central California Area Office, Folsom, California and Northern California Area Office, Redding, California.


  • Reclamation Water Service Contractors

  • Reclamation Repayment Contractors

  • Reclamation Exchange Contractors

  • Reclamation Settlement Contractors

  • Reclamation Cross Valley Contractors

  • Educational Institutions

  • Special Districts including Resource Conservation Districts

  • Water Associations and Authorities

  • State and Federal Wildlife Refuges
