Purpose

The Bill Graham Foundation seeks to assist those whose needs are not served by larger philanthropic organizations.

Funding Interests

The foundation gives grants primarily to the programs/ projects of grassroots organizations working in the areas of music, the arts and education, while also supporting social work, environmental protection, spiritual and compassionate projects in the community.

Geographic Focus

The foundation's geographic scope is primarily but not absolutely limited to the Bay Area and Northern California.

Types of Support

Funding is available for projects and general support.

Grant Size

$500 to $4000

Requirements & Limitations

The Bill Graham Foundation provides grants to non-profit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status.

Application Process

To apply for a grant please go the Foundation's website and fill out the necessary forms.

Deadlines

The deadline to submit grant requests will be due annually postmarked by October 1st.

Grantee: Save the Bay, San Francisco, CA.
Amount: $
Purpose: Save the Bay address Bay fill and pollution, water quality and management, wetland habitat, species restoration, public access and education. The group's grassroots efforts have protected thousands of acres of wetlands along the Bay, increased public access to the Bay, and reformed water policies for species recovery. It also offers watershed education and hands-on restoration programs for youth and adults

Purpose:

The mission of The Big Sur Land Trust is to conserve the significant lands and waters of California's Central Coast for all generations. The Big Sur Land Trust strategically and responsibly identifies and acquires valuable landscapes to protect them from the growing pressures of development as a legacy for future generations.
