| Idaho, Nevada, N.M. groups sue to close loophole in mine clean-up law |

Earthjustice, the legal defense fund for the Sierra Club, will file a lawsuit in federal law on behalf of environmental groups in Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico and Illinois to force the federal government to close a loophole in the law that the groups said allows mining companies to declare bankruptcy and walk away from their responsibility to clean up closed mines.
