Rangelands West, or The Western Rangelands Partnership, is a partnership of Western land-grant universities intended to provide quality information, resources, and tools to improve management of Western rangelands.
The web site provides information in the following areas:
- Overview of Rangelands Management: History and current practices;
- Rangeland
Science and Management: Ecology of rangelands; rangeland management
principles; grazing ecology and management; rangeland inventory and
monitoring; rangeland vegetation; noxious weeds and invasive species
- Rangeland Policy Issues: Including overview, legal, organization, conflict resolution resources;
- Economics, Business Management and Marketing: Including sample ranch plans, budgets, and marketing
- Education:
Including academic programs, career planning interactive web resources,
lesson plans, and education materials for teachers and kids; and
- General
Resources: Provides links to meetings and events; on-line journals and
newsletters, Western universities natural resource programs;
organizations, directories and e-mail lists.
