Contracting with the Forest Service PDF Print E-mail
A place-based workshop in which participants learn to write and compete for local Forest Service contracts.

Specific topics include: the different kinds of bids, how to use the federal FedBizOpps business web site, how to work in the federal government's "paper-less" environment, and how to qualify as a "historically under-utilized business (HUB)" zone. Preference is given to communities where there is very little private sector capacity and local people are starting forestry-related businesses.

Offered by: The Watershed Research & Training Center (The Watershed Center)
