The Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for high-quality dispute resolution training in the Northwest. 

Classes are offered annually in basic civil and basic family mediation and also offers two specialty courses which vary each year.

Target Audience: Any individuals interested in dispute resolution; the Institute generally attracts people with a wide variety of backgrounds.

Course Length: The basic mediation courses are 40 hours (1 week). Specialty courses may be 40 hours or 20 hours.

Date/Location: May 16-20, 2005 in Moscow, Idaho. The Institute holds classes every year in May.

Cost: In 2008, the cost was $925 for 40-hour courses. The fees include all materials, breakfast and lunch, and Certificate of Completion, but does not include lodging.
