Agency budget cuts 3 Months ago  
I'm curious what people think about Bush's agency budget cuts-- Interior's budget was cut $400 million from 2008 and the Forest Service was cut down $337 from 2008. And that's on top of cuts from the previous budget. How are our land management agencies supposed to do their job?

I agree. It is sad to think about the conservation/restoration programs that will lose funding along with the loss of jobs within these agencies. What I find interesting is the significant budget increase for NOAA, specifically for climate forecasts and research. Perhaps the Bush administration is beginning to finally focus on climate change?
