The Clearinghouse launched a series on tools for natural resource problem-solving in December. The first edition focuses on the public notice and comment process. The second edition explores public meetings, hearings and other forums where people come face to face to discuss natural resource issues.

What are your thoughts about these two public participation strategies? What have been your experiences submitting comments and attending a public forum or in running one of these processes? What works and what doesn't? What would make these processes more effective?
